I grew up in an Airforce family. We travelled around Canada until our father was finally stationed in Trenton Ontario where I finished highschool. Sold my old Triumph Datona 500 for a plane ticket and flew to Calgary, where I worked several jobs until discovering the Alberta College of Art. After attending the 4 year Visual Design course, I graduated and started living a double life. By day I was a successful illustrator and graphic designer. At night and on weekends, I continued to pursue my passion to paint.
In 2014, I relocated to the Kootenays with my current motorcycle, a truckload of canvases, paints, brushes, plus my husband and three rambunctious rescue dogs. Now, I spend my days happily exploring winding roads, backcountry trails and lake shores for inspiration. I keep my eyes open for new ways to create images, to capture the essence of a subject. My goal is to stretch out of my comfort zone.
I play with acrylics, oil and watercolour, dabbling in stone carving and metal sculpture. Embracing imperfection, from which surprises often spring….
